Background and Challenges
In 2007 the Tay Ho district of Hanoi had few F&B outlets. Our team helped the partners conduct research to gain insights as an input to a concept and challenge which was to develop an elegant but approachable restobar with a kids’ room and single B&B unit (incidentally the 2nd AirBnb listing ever in Vietnam).
Our naming process led to the name Daluva, based loosely on the Spanish: de la uva, from the grape. Our design team developed the red-wine coloured dynamic logo and graphic system. The elegant-yet-comfortable interior design was created in collaboration with Uyen Nguyen (currently at Halo Design). Note: the restaurant is now on its 3rd owner with different branding.
Daluva became a neighborhood institution and go-to-spot for tourists gaining a listing in Luxe Guide. [The partners successfully exited in 2012.]
